Attendance

ATTENDANCE

When a student is absent Please Do Not call to let us know.  The only way we can excuse an absence is with written Documentation.  A student’s absence may be excused only within 3 days of his/her return to school.  PARENTS/STUDENTS are responsible for getting a Signed Parent or Doctors note when a child is ABSENT or TARDY. Please give the Parent/Doctor note to the Homeroom Teacher, Front Office or Attendance Clerk.    ABSENCES include being away from school a full day, or leaving school before 11:15.  TARDIES will be given when a child is not in their classroom by 7:45.  If a written notice is not received within the 5 day period, the absences/tardies will automatically be counted as unexcused.  5 unexcused absences will result in notification from Central Office.

Personal illness, death in the family or extenuating circumstances (as agreed by the principal) are the only acceptable reasons for excusing an absence.

Once a student reaches 10 cumulative absences, excused or unexcused, additional documentation may be requested concerning any absence.

NO SIGN OUTS AFTER 2:25.
